  1. The “Omega Man” was also a guilty pleasure for me as well. The sign that it wouldn’t age well was, for me, the big ‘fro on Cash. I’d never thought as much as about Mathias, but your comments are right on. I have only one thing to add: do you think his character name has anything to do with Mathias, the thirteenth apostle of Jesus (who replaced Judas)?
